Tamagotchi 24-7!!

Tamagotchi's are small virtual pets that you have to take care of. They grow up well if you take good care of them, and they grow up not-so-well if you neglect them. Here you will find all sorts of information about taking care of your tamagotchi virtual pet! This page is mostly for new owners. Enjoy!

Buttons - there are three buttons on a tamagotchi. The first button is known as (A). The second button is known as (B). The third button is known as (C). The (A) button lets you scroll through icons and options. The (B) button lets you select what you want to do (for example: Do you want to buy a piano or a plane ticket? Use the (A) button to scroll and the (B) button to select). The (C) button lets you get out of what you're in (for example: back to the piano and the ticket, you decide you don't want to get either one, click (C) and then it will bring you back.)

Icons - There are 10 icons a tamagotchi; one of which you can't click. The first icon is the health icon to see all information about your tamagotchi. You see happy and hunger hearts, age, training points, skill points (if that pertains to your tamagotchi), weight, gender, and name. The next icon is the food icon. This icon let's you feed your pet a snack or a meal. Please note, snacks make your pet happy, and meals make their hunger hearts go up (indicating they are becoming full). Feeding your pet a snack to maintain its happiness is not the best things for your tama though; try playing games.The next icon is the toilet icon. This icon "flushes" away all poo. Also, if your tama is a child, teenager, or adult, you may notice your tama making a weird face and wiggly lines all around him/her. This means it has to use the bathroom. Press the toilet icon and your tama will use the toilet. If your too late, it will have an accident. The next icon is the game icon. This icon gives you the option to play games, check souveniers, and shop (if that pertains to your tamagotchi). The last icon on the top row is the connect icon. This icon allows you to connect with other tamagotchis. All you have to do is click that icon (arrange the settings) and put the two red tops of the tamagotchis together. The first icon on the bottom row is the disipline icon. This icons allows you to praise or punish your tama when necessary. You praise him or her when he/she is crying or upset. You punish him or her when he is mad for no apparent reason (mad is when his/her back is to you). The next icon is the doctor icon. This icon allows you to heal your tamagotchi of tooth aches and sicknesses when needed. When your tama has a tooth ache from too much candy, there will be a tooth sign over him/her and he will look really upset and shaking back and forth. The same symptoms are for sicknesses only there is a skull above your tama's head. The next icon is the light icon. This icon allows you to turn off the light when your tamagotchi is sleeping. On a V4 though, the light turns off automatically.The next icon is a book. This icon allows you to check your friends list, see your family, see/use presents, and get phone numbers for calling your mother/father or grandmother/grandfather. The last icon you can not click on. It is a happy/sad face. It is lit up when your tamagotchi needs/wants attention. It will light up when s/he is sick, when s/he is crying, and when s/he just wants attention for no reason.

Pausing - I honsetly don't like to pause my tamagotchi, but here is how to do it: Click (A) and (B) at the same time. Do the same to un-pause. The reason I don't like pausing is because it pauses the time too. That means that it will take longer for your tamagotchi to grow up. It can get really annoying.

Sound - If you don't want your sound on, click (A) and (C) at the same time and then click "off." Do the same to put the sound on only this time, click "on."

The Matchmaker - the matchmaker is an oldtimer who comes when your tamagotchi reaches a certain age. She gives the option to let you find love if you didn't do it on your own. What will happen is, she will appear with a book and her mouth opening and closing and the book's pages flipping. Click the (B) button and it will say, "Love? Yes? No?" Click yes. Your tama will meet a new tama and if they fall in love, they will have twins. They will be the same gender, and one will go with the mom and one will go with the dad. Your tamagotchi will raise the baby until the next midnight, your tamagotchi will go back to tamagotchi planet and you will get to name and raise the baby. Do you want to know a trick? Say you want your tamagotchi's baby to be a girl, when the matchmaker is there, click the (B) button while her mouth is open. You will get a girl. If you click while her mouth is closed, you will get a boy. Cool trick!

Debugging - I am not going to put any information on this website about debugging. The reason being is that one wrong move and your tamagotchi can be ruined! I've also heard that it only works the best on a V2 and a lot of other people broke their other versions of tamagotchis trying to do it. Please, take this advice: DO NOT DEBUG! I don't think it's worth it. Sorry!
